RS20 due end of July
Each year the Ministry of Education requests private training providers to make the RS20 return. The data submitted in the RS20 return relates to the week that July 31st falls under (Monday July 31 – Sunday August 6 2006) and must be returned to the Ministry no later than Monday 21st August 2006. Historically the RS20 has been a paper based return. From 2006 the RS20 can only be returned electronically. The Excel template to be completed for the RS20, is available from the Ministry of Education via SIA access. Nipper is capable of compiling the required data for the RS20 in a pivot table and new Tip Sheets are available for download to assist you with complete the template.
Nipper Version 2 Electronic Receipting System (ERS) Compliant
Providers of TEC targeted training (Youth Training and Training Opportunities), are now able to electronically submit forms to the TEC via the ERS integrated into Version 2 of Nipper. The ERS is designed to offer providers the option of electronically submitting forms to the TEC for targeted funding trainees (TOPS and Youth Training). and provides a link between Nipper and the TEC. Data entered into the Nipper is directly sent to the TEC eliminating double-entry of data, minimising errors and saving time. Contact us for more information.
The National Student Index XML Interface now available in Nipper!
If your organisation receives Targeted Funding from TEC - TOPS, Youth Training or Skill Enhancement every student who enrolls with you must have an NSI number and an "Active" status, meaning that their identity has been verified.
A Ministry of Education web site is available for NSI users to log in manage NSI business, alternatively you can use an optional on-line (XML)interface which enables Nipper to `talk' directly with the NSI over the Internet.
The XML interface from the perspective of the user is `seamless', as Nipper talks with the NSI `behind the scenes'. Users perform NSI-based actions interactively, via Nipper - therefore eliminating the need to enter student details twice, once in Nipper and again on the NSI web site and thus saving time and effort.
